Dr. Vesna Mrzljak is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and has been in private practice in Alexandria, VA, since 1983. She is recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the area's "Top Doctors."
Dr. Mrzljak graduated from the Medical School of the University of Zagreb, Croatia and came to the U.S. in 1976. She completed 3 years of residency training in General Surgery at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey, and 3 years of residency training in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She continued her sub-specialty training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by completing a one-year fellowship with Dr. Clyde Litton in Washington, D.C.
In addition to her more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Mrzljak regularly takes Continuing Medical Education courses to stay current, and works closely with numerous sub-specialists to ensure that those of patients with usual or exceptionally complex problems get the very best possible care. Children are warmly welcome to her office. Adults and seniors are met with equal enthusiasm.
